We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (M/F) to join our multidisciplinary research team. The successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing advanced imaging analyses of DNA origami (DO)-based nanostructures in live cells and will measure fundamental rates of chromatin dynamics and transcription. DOs are uniquely suited to create multi-functional devices for biological applications due to their unparalleled control over nanoscale geometry, ability to be functionalized with many components in a site-specific manner, biocompatibility, and triggered reconfiguration. We use these features to create new tools that will successively integrate gene targeting, transcription activation, and detect of RNA transcription. Our project, is planning to fabricate DOs that will integrate a combination of these functions on a single platform. These multi-functional DOs have the potential to revolutionize the ability to target, detect, and regulate chromatin states, and hence control gene expression and cellular functions
The postdoctoral researcher will integrate in the above described project and work in a collaborative, international and interdisciplinary environment. S/he will also contribute to scientific publications and other scientific dissemination activities.
