The ROV Supervisor is responsible for executing assigned offshore ROV operations safely and efficiently, ensuring all activities are conducted in line with company procedures, project requirements, and industry standards.
Job Title: ROV Supervisor
Location: Offshore – Germany (mobilisation) – Cable Lay Vessel
Rotation: Project-based (~4 weeks)
Employment Type: Contract
Start Date: Mid-end of July
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all ROV operations onboard a cable lay vessel
- Operate and oversee SMD Atom ROV systems during subsea activities
- Support cable lay operations including:
- Cable pull-in
- Cable laying and routing
- Cable burial activities
- Ensure all ROV operations are performed safely and in compliance with project procedures
- Liaise with offshore teams, vessel crew, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure proper maintenance and readiness
- Provide technical guidance to ROV personnel and support troubleshooting when required
- Maintain accurate operational records and reporting
Qualifications & Certifications (Mandatory)
- Proven experience as an ROV Supervisor
- Hands-on experience with SMD Atom ROV systems
- Previous experience on cable lay vessels / subsea cable projects
- Experience with cable pull-in, laying, and burial operations (preferred)
- Offshore wind or subsea cable project experience (advantageous)
Required Certification:
- Valid OGUK Medical
- Valid GWO / Maritime Safety Training

Working at Height (WAH) – valid within the last 12 months

Chester Step Test (renewables industry requirement)
- A1 Certificate
- Valid work permit (for non-EU candidates)
